CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION AT SNEHA JYOTHI VIDYALAYA, POTHNAL

Sneha Jyoti Vidyalaya, Pothnal, celebrated Children’s Day on November 16, 2023, with great festive fervour to commemorate the 130th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The program began with a special assembly conducted by the teachers, escorting all the class leaders with the SJV band, followed by a prayer service, lighting the lamp, and a cultural event.

The cultural program featured a series of interesting and exciting events, meticulously planned for complete entertainment. Teachers of the junior section enthralled the audience with their energetic and graceful traditional dance moves. Students pulsated with excitement as their teachers presented various cultural dances, combining the poetry of footsteps and a cosmic rhythm. The celebratory mood continued with an invigorating and foot-tapping performance.

Subsequently, a song was presented by a group of teachers in praise of Chacha Nehru, who led the country into a new and glorious future. Students were elated to see their teachers performing and celebrating the day with zeal and enthusiasm. The Principal, Rev Fr Sunil Cornelio, in his address, encouraged students to dream big and work hard. He also appreciated the teachers for their lively performance.

The children came dressed in casual attire and relished their favourite food with their classmates. Various activities were organized for children of all classes, such as art competitions and a cricket match between students and teachers. Students greatly enjoyed playing and winning against their mentors. It was a day full of joy and laughter for the students.
